Warframe Enemies I Think are Neat (WIP)

Return to previous page.

Since I have been fixated on Warframe for a few weeks now, I decided that it might be a good idea to make an article about it. I'll likely make an article about the Warframes themselves at a later point, but this page will be focused on the many enemies found within. For those who aren't aware, Warframe is a free-to-play looter shooter by Digital Extremes and is a spiritual successor to their previous game darkSector. Most images are taken from the official Warframe wiki, the rest were taken by yours truly.

As is to be expected, this article will contain spoilers related to enemy types, factions, and parts of the story. As I am also fond of the Infested, there will be a fair bit of body horror as well, but I will have a few "normal" enemies to serve as a bit of a buffer before getting to them.

DRAHK

a hairless, dog-like creature covered in armored, reddish skin. Its ears are pointed and it bears a sharp horn on its nose, it also has a pair of tusks emerging from its lower jaw.

Starting off with an enemy from the Grineer faction, Drahk are armored canids which relentlessly attack their foes. Their design utilizes a lot of traits I am fond of in creature design, so while they are pretty mundane compared to some of the enemies seen later on in this list (once I get to adding them), you can never go wrong with a tusked rhino-dog.

OROWYRM

an ornate, serpentine creature floating in a green, cloudy sky, a white and gold structure in the foreground obscures part of its body. Its body is biomechanical and segmented, two rings are seen near the end of its body and a pair of entwined snakes are visible on its head, just behind the snakes are four cable-like protrusions which each end in structures which somewhat resemble light bulb filaments. an ornate, serpentine creature staring down Temple, a glam-rocker Warframe. The sky is green and a massive, orange eye gazes down from above. Both the creature and Temple are surrounded by a white and gold structure, much of it is visibly damaged. The creature itself is black and green in color, its body is segmented and its head has four cable-like protrusions which each end in a structure which somewhat resembles a flattened light bulb filament, each one has two pairs of spikes. Further down its head are a pair of entwined snakes.

Orowyrms are biomechanical creatures of Orokin origin. Within the realm of Duviri, each of the courtiers of Dominus Thrax may become an Orowyrm if they lose control of their emotions. The Orowyrm seen above is specifically Bombastine, whose primary emotion is envy and is capable of dealing Toxin damage. (WIP)
