Sunworms are massive, eight-limbed dragons which are found in the hottest, nigh-uninhabitable reaches of the Higher Realm. Unlike most dragons who use wings to fly, Sunworms utilize the air sacs which line their body. They are rarely seen by humans as they typically stay far away from inhabited areas, but any who dare travel above the Higher Realm are likely to be picked off by these dragons. When hunting, a Sunworm will travel down to the more populated parts of the Higher Realm and snatch up anything they find with their many legs. Sunworms don't have many predators, but if they find themselves at risk, they can blast out a wave of heat from their mouth, they typically retreat back above the Higher Realm after doing this in order to heat themselves back up. Male and female Sunworms are identical, though during breeding season, older males will partially turn red, mainly around its fins and air sacs. Once the eggs are laid, the females will leave and continue their solitary life, while the males will form large social groups where they will care not only for their own eggs and hatchlings, but each others as well. Because these eggs are kept inside of the male's throat pouch, very few have actually seen them.
