The Sandstinger

Return to previous page.

Sandstingers are medium-sized dragons which live in arid environments. Female and juvenile Sandstingers have brown stripes, while the males have purple stripes, females are also noticably larger. Young juveniles lack the stingers this species was named after, but they begin to grow in once they're halfway to their adult size.

ART

the growth cycle of a bipedal, wingless dragon, on the left is the adult, in the middle is the juvenile, and on the right is the egg. The adult has three pairs of eyes and a dark brown face plate. Its arms have two fingers which end in long claws. The legs are long and end in three long claws. Its tail is very long and ends in two claw-like stingers. Its body is mainly tan with dark brown bands going along its entire length. The juvenile resembles a smaller version of the adult, though its claws are smaller and it lacks the stingers on its tail. The egg is pointed at the top and is somewhat narrow, it has tan and brown bars going up its length.

Design Notes

This dragon's design came from a dream I had once, other than altering the shape of its feet, it hasn't changed very much.
