The Toxic Multigazer

Return to previous page.

The Toxic Multigazer is an uncommon winged dragon that is typically found in damp caves and wetlands. Their nests are built in hollows in the ground that can be several feet deep, up to four eggs will be laid in these nests, they will take twenty days to hatch. Adults primarily eat fish but will also eat any small animals they come across, larvae feed upon worms and grubs. Their breath attack is a fine, corrosive mist, it is most dangerous when inhaled. Multigazers are also highly poisonous, these toxins lie within their flesh, blood, and eggs. Their speech is somewhat slurred and they have a tendency to repeat certain words.

a sheet depicting a winged, quadrupedal dragon and its growth stages, it is mostly green with black splotches covering its body. The adult dragon's head is bulbous and has many eyes covering it, it also has pointed ears and bull-like horns. Its neck is thick and s-curved, leading into a stocky body. Its limbs are on the thicker side and are clawless, its wings are large, and the tip of its tail is flattened and leaf-shaped. The dragon larva has the same colors and patterns and resembles a fat caterpillar, its facial shield is black and has many beady white eyes. Three pairs of nubby legs are held above the ground, while another three pairs of thicker legs are used for walking. The egg is round and bright orange, with black splotches covering its surface. In the upper left corner are a pair of headshots of the dragon, the first is a side view with the dragon's mouth open, and the second is a frontal view. In the lower right corner is a sketch of the dragon emitting a green mist from its mouth, it is labeled 'Acid spray'. Right at the bottom of the image are two more sketches, they are a cartoon hunk of meat and a dead fish with crossed out eyes, they are labeled 'Diet'.

Notes

This was one of the first dragons I designed for this project, the first ever drawing of it was from around 2018 I believe. It was based off of poisonous frogs and salamanders. It originally had the ability to extend its eyes out on eyestalks, which I depicted in the breath attack sketch, but I don't think these dragons would really need them as their field of view is already nearly 360 degrees (the only things that escape their vision are directly behind or underneath them. So, I'll probably remove them the next time I draw one of these dragons.
