A Forgotten, Environmentalist Cartoon

Return to previous page.

In this dream, I found out a cartoon I watched as a child was lost media, the only things which remained were low-quality screenshots, a clip of the villains final speech before being defeated (which I unfortunately don't remember), and peoples' memories of it. The general plot was that the three protagonists were trapped in an alternate reality and at first, they were focused on escaping from this strange world, but once they discovered this world's environment and inhabitants were being exploited, they decided to help. He created hordes of machines to clear the lands to render everything they collected and captured into a form of oil which increased his strength and granted him powerful abilities (which was how the human protagonists were transported to this world), his factories polluted the lands with toxic fumes and oozes. I remember one of the better-documented episodes involved these "spidercats", they were one-eyed spiders which also had small, pointed ears and orange and white fur. The protagonists broke into one of the facilities to free these creatures before they could be rendered into oil. If I remember right, this was also when a fourth protagonist was introduced as well, I don't remember her name but she was referred to as a "goblin". She was broad and muscular, with green skin, a tusked, boar-like face, and three eyes. She was able to use her strength to break open the cages holding the spidercats. The other somewhat well-documented episode was episode seven, the final one. The protagonists worked alongside the people of this world to create a device which could "taint" the oil. I don't remember much of what happened, but the villain was slain and the people began to rebuild their world, I don't remember if the human characters ever actually got to return either.
