(warning for suicide and parasitism in the fourth paragraph)
This dream was about an experimental show which was called Gregory Horror Show; which in real life is the name of something entirely different. Most episodes followed somebody named Gregory, he was a black man of average build and height. He went on strange adventures, though some episodes did not involve him at all and were entirely disconnected from the main plot. Some episodes were done in hand-drawn 2D animation and others were in CGI or stop motion, though most used a combination of live action, 2D or 3D animation, and puppetry.
The first episode I remember fully did not involve the main plot, it followed a tribe of gaunt, bipedal, bucktoothed creatures. All dialogue lacked subtitles and was spoken in a conlang which had no known translation. They were on a long and arduous journey through an alien desert to a location which was very important in their culture, and not all survived; some fell victim to the elements, while others had been picked off by nocturnal predators. But finally, they made it to an absolutely massive sandstone structure, carved by a long-lost civilization. They then conducted a ceremony, playing instruments of bone and chitin. This animation of this episode was surreal and vibrant, almost looking like it was painted.
The second episode is one I don't remember as well, but it was more comedic in tone and actually featured the titular Gregory, he was a live action actor while the nonhuman characters were animated. The character I remember best was named something like Mr. Milgrav, he was a somewhat flask or bong-like creature, and had a transparent body full of a bubbling green liquid. His manner of speech was also quite fascinating, as his voice actor was given lines to voice behind the scenes, which was then taken apart and put back together to produce dialogue for Mr. Milgrav. The first word he spoke was rather softly spoken, while the second one was screamed. His voice also had a filter over it that made it sound somewhat robotic, similar to the vocals in several Skinny Puppy songs. I remember there being a couple other characters, but I don't remember them very well.
The episode after that was much more horror-based and was mainly done in stop motion and CGI, with occasional live action clips, it also did not involve Gregory. It was about a restaurant which prepared living, carnivorous, mutated food, things with eyes, teeth, and tendrils that superficially resembled normal foods. The restaurant-goers were unaffected by any of the weird stuff and either did not know or were entirely apathetic to what happened behind the scenes. The staff were heavily mistreated, many had become scarred and even lost limbs to what they were preparing, a few ended up commiting suicide and ended up being fed to the food, and others were full of parasites; one of the live action clips was of parasitic worms moving beneath the skin of somebody's leg. The company behind this restaurant did not care about the mistreatment, as the money they were making was far too appealing for them to care, which if I remember right, was actually the main source of the horror.
The final episode I remember did involve Gregory and was a combination of live action and puppetry. It featured a wormlike creature, a dog/dragon thing with a very wide, toothy mouth, and a puppet woman. The first two were initially seen as threatening, but the worm was simply curious and the dragon/dog was afraid of Gregory. While the creatures played an important part in the episode's sideplot, most of it was focused on the woman. Due to her being a rather simple puppet with no mouth or separate fingers, she could not communicate in many ways, so much of this episode focused on her and Gregory figuring out ways to communicate with each other and slowly becoming friends.
