Genduvan

Return to previous page.

The Genduvan are humanoid sophonts who originated from The Gravelands, due to the ambient necromantic energies of their homelands, Necromancers are surprisingly common. They are rather tall, measuring up to eight feet in their resting posture with their neck held in front of their body, though their neck can increase their height to eleven feet when raised. Their face is humanoid with sharp, angular features, they also bear long, pointed ears. Their skin is purple and is typically on the darker side, though many shades are possible. Their arms are long, almost going down to their knees, their bony fingers end in sharp nails.

Compared to other sophonts, the Genduvan are few in number, most live within The Citadel of Bone. The majority of Genduvan are taught how to defend themselves from a young age as Titanspawn and other monsters are still a threat, even in the relative safety of the Blackriver Steppe. The Citadel of Bone itself was founded after the final Titan was driven off, much of its architecture was constructed from the bones of other Titans. It is surrounded by cliffs that were created by emerging titans, the only entrance is defended by guards, warbeasts, and necromantic thralls. Because of the sheer size of the Citadel, many villages are found within, any agriculture that isn't done in the Blackriver Steppe is done within the Citadel itself.

Notes

The Genduvan were the first non-human sophonts created for Raventhrone, as they originated from the dream that lead to the creation of this project. If Raventhrone was an actual MMORPG, they would be one of the available player species.
