The World didn't always have dragons, but those days have long been forgotten. Something now known as the Rift formed over a thousand years ago, dragons poured from it like water through a failed dam and the world has known no rest since. Some believe the Rift may be able to be closed, but those who dared to venture to it have never returned. Occasionally, people and animals are born "blessed" by the dragons, most are exiled for fear of disaster. In human "dragonspawn", physical mutations will typically manifest in the mid twenties to early thirties. The protagonists of this project are all dragonspawn themselves, seeking out the Rift in an effort to close it.
I created this project shortly after I started The Dragonhunter's Guide to Dragons, this is because the Guide has plenty of dragons that are weird in a silly way (like its main inspiration) and I had the urge to make something that had dragons that were weird in a different kind of way. While the protagonists are dragon slayers, the "true" antagonist is the Rift itself.
