The Cauldronmaw

Return to previous page.

The Cauldronmaw is an uncommon dragon that is mainly found near rocky saltwater shores. They do not build traditional nests, instead laying their eggs amongst the rocks, and will actually change color to blend in better with its surroundings, they will hatch in sixty days. Adults mainly feed upon fish, though they will also eat small terrestrial vertebrates, larvae will eat anything that washes up onto the shore. Their breath attack is a massive blast of flame, this can knock back lighter targets several feet. While it is very dangerous, it takes the Cauldronmaw several seconds to recover from the blast. They are poor flyers and prefer to use their wings to swim. Their voice is deep and echoey.

Notes

It took me a while to come up with a name for this dragon, I was originally going to include the word "pitcher" in its name, as it was based off of pitcher plants.
