The Bogscreecher

Return to previous page.

Bogscreechers are medium-sized dragons that are found in bogs and other wetlands. They are poor flyers, mostly using their wings to absorb more heat while basking. While they are known to be aggressive towards other dragons, they do not typically bother humans. Juvenile Bogscreechers mainly feed on plants and insects, while adults prey on larger vertebrates. Bogscreechers also bear a sharpened thumb claw on their wings, these are used in taking down prey.

ART

the growth stages of a quadrupedal, eyeless wyvern, on the left is the adult, in the middle is the hatchling, and on the right is the egg. The adult dragon's face is devoid of any features other than a large, lipless, sharp-toothed mouth, with wrinkled skin surrounding it. Most of its skin is a dark greyish yellow, though its underside and wing membranes are a dark, dull pink. Its arms are muscular and end in three pairs of blunt claws, as well as the wing finger and a much sharper thumb claw. Its hind legs end in four blunt claws. Its tail is short and wrinkly towards the base. The hatchling resembles a smalller, chubbier version of the adult with smaller, blunter claws and rounded teeth, it is crawling on the ground. The egg is lumpy and is a dark greyish yellow, with dark, dull pinks in its various wrinkles and crevices.

Notes

I did not intend for this dragon's face to look so phallic, but I am unsure if there would be any way to pull it off without it looking that way, so I am still satisfied with it.
